Research lines:
Theoretical work in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (the beta effect, vorticity, potential vorticity, the omega equation); numerical simulations addressing the balance flow and internal inertia-gravity waves in the ocean, the balance of horizontal momentum, volume and mass transport, the vertical velocity in the ocean, and hydrographic data assimilation in numerical models of the ocean; experimental work on the dynamics of the mesoscale upper ocean with emphasis on the circulation in the Western Mediterranean.
